Sitting in the bathroom
surrounded by friends
They’re puffing and passing
chiefing and laughing
while I sit there and stare
at the smoke rising in the air.
A bong to my left, an apple to my right,
this is a repeat of ever other night.

space is their destination, it’s the only thing in sight.

New Year's
I know the show I’m going to sucks, but hey I’m in Fergus right now. What do you expect?
You give me something better for the night and I might consider it, but until then don’t make fun of me.
At least I’m getting out of the house and spending time with people I actually like, regardless of the shitty music.

A Widow's Façade
I was talking to this widow, the other day.
She’s been through a lot, to her dismay.
A divorce, two kids, and the death of her last,
but she had to stay strong for her babies, so she put on a mask.
I painted her nails, while she talked and I listened
to her stories which were sad, and eventually my heart beckoned
to give her a hug, to comfort her in some way
I looked her in the eye...
Must be nice to have RAIN instead of SNOW, Devan.

I was moving one of my cars around my driveway, and it shut off. then I spent half an hour in the rain trying to figure out why it wouldn’t run.
